Showcase information Term 2 –  2023 / 24, 10th anniversary season

SHOW – Saturday June 22nd 2024, SCTS end of term 2 Showcases 

Venue – Studio theatre, Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe 101 Centrepointe Dr Ottawa, ON K2G 5K7

Showcase Times & Groups 

( Please check your students casting/group for correct show times or enquire with Varsha at Drop off)

Star Kids Showcases – Willy Wonka Jr

Performance 1  – 9.30 am showtime  –  Group 1  (Star Kids Juniors & Step Up kids – SK/JK) 

Students are to be dropped off at the lower studio theatre lobby for 09.00am in full costume (please do not come to the stage door)

Studio theatre doors open at 09.10am, no allocated seating, pre purchased tickets only 

 Approx show time 30 mins

Performance 2 –  11.30 am showtime –  Group 2  (9am & 11.30am Star Kids Seniors) 

Students are to be dropped off at the lower studio theatre lobby for 11.00am in full costume (please do not come to the stage door)

Studio theatre Doors open at 11.10am, no allocated seating, pre purchased tickets only 

Approx show time 45 mins

 Spotlight Showcase – Shrek Jr 

Performance 3 –  3.30 pm showtime –  Spotlight youth  (Jr and Snr’s classes)

Students are to be dropped off and sign themselves in at the Stage Door for 1.45pm in full costume (please do not come to the Lobby door)

There will be a vocal and physical warm up, run through and stage orientation at 2.00 – compulsory for all cast

Studio theatre Doors open at 3.10pm, no allocated seating, pre purchased tickets only 

Approx show time 60 mins

In response to recommendations and directions given by health and government officials in respect to theatre , updates and changes may occur as we continue to follow their guidance and advice . We will inform you of any specific requirements for the theatres

PLEASE do not contact the school to purchase tickets,

Tickets will NOT be available from the box office the day of the show or sold at the door. 

Tickets $11.75 per seat  – Box office and CRF fees of $3.25 added onto the cost of each ticket at point of sale

CHILDREN OVER THE AGE OF 2 ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A TICKET, CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 2 MAY SIT ON LAPS.(AS PER THEATRE GUIDELINES AND RESTRICTIONS)

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE WHEN BRINGING YOUNG CHILDREN, WE WANT ALL STUDENTS TO HAVE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO ENJOY AND FLOURISH WHILST ON STAGE, NOISE AND MOVEMENT FROM THE AUDIENCE CAN BE VERY DISTRACTING!  

NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOS PERMITTED DURING THE SHOWS, THESE ARE “DISNEY” LICENSED PERFORMANCES.

THERE WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO RECORD AND PHOTOGRAPH YOUR STUDENT DURING BOWS AND THE FINALE NUMBER!
